The garden is in its glory.  July and August is a peak time to visit our Blackmore Farm-to-Table Garden which supplies fresh vegetables and herbs to TREE Restaurant and our spa massage tables.  One visit to the garden to see the rainbow of colors pouring from the earth are enough to cause hunger pangs.  Once again, celebrating nature and what the earth provides- we want to pay homage to the rainbow.  The rainbow of colors that nourish our bodies.

The Lodge at Woodloch's Farm-to-Table GardenOur partner Diane Hoch, founder and nutritional counselor at The Food Evolution recommends adding Dark Leafy Greens, Tomatoes, Eggplants, Summer Squash, Onions, Garlic, Radishes, Fresh Herbs – all the foods found at a local Farmers Market! Phytonutrients, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and energy! These are the foods that will prove the “Crowding Out Theory.”  The premise being –  when we add health supportive foods into our diet, it naturally “crowds out” the desire for unhealthy choices. Our bodies crave what makes it feel good!
