Known for highlighting nature and the majestic woods surrounding the award-winning destination spa resort, The Lodge at Woodloch commissioned four ice sculptures for a February unveiling.
The programming team at The Lodge at Woodloch appreciates that the cozy fireplaces and indoor whirlpools are quite the draw in the dead of winter. But understanding that spending time outdoors is not only beautiful but good for one’s health makes it a key goal at The Lodge. The programming team partnered with local artisans, Sculpted Ice Works, to create four masterpieces inspired by the natural surroundings. The first two ice sculptures were created in their studios in the Pocono Mountains. The last two were created on site during a Live Ice Carving Demonstration.
On February 4th, the four sculptures were placed along the perimeter of the FireCircle Patio where the forest meets the patio, near the nature trail but visible from the windows of TREE Restaurant and Bar. The Ice Sculpture Gallery Walk will be available as long as the weather allows.
Guests of The Lodge at Woodloch watched the live demonstration on Saturday, February 4th..
