July is upon us, which means it is National Culinary Arts Month! This celebratory month promotes the awareness of professional cooks and chefs, as well as their contributions to the new culinary trends and the world of fine dining. To be honest, we celebrate culinary arts and our talented team of chefs every day. After all, The Lodge at Woodloch’s TREE Restaurant offers gourmet spa cuisine that embodies our belief that food that is good for you can also be sophisticated, artfully presented and graciously served. That means we are always focusing on creating new and exciting dishes that pair beautifully with a great bottle of wine.
In addition to our own talented culinary team, The Lodge at Woodloch has created a Chef in Residence program to provide experiences to educate our guests that nutritious and properly portioned food can also be delicious and beautifully created. Powerhouse Chef in Residences Carla Hall, Michael Solomonov, and Marge Perry & David Bonom are just a few chefs from our 2017 program, while Diane Henderiks (July 27th – 29th), Jonathan Deutsch Ph.D.(August 11th), Diane Hoch (September 1st – 3rd), and Sara Moulton (September 7th – 9th) round out the summer season.
Celebrate with us! Check out recipes from our recent Chef in Residences on our Recipe Library on our website! Book a stay with us to see what inspires us in the kitchen during one of our cooking demonstrations, or check out our new cookbook Nurture with Nature and try a new Lodge at Woodloch recipe at home! Be sure to share your culinary art celebrations with us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
